Definition
Biotechnology is a broad area of biology involving living systems and organisms to develop or make products. It often involves genetic manipulation of microorganisms for the production of antibiotics, hormones etc.
Analogy
Imagine biotechnology as a toolbox. Just like how you use different tools to fix various things around your house, scientists use biotechnology to solve problems and make improvements in areas such as medicine, agriculture, and environmental conservation.
