Definition

Side-by-side bar graphs are used to compare distributions between different groups or categories. They display multiple bars next to each other, with each bar representing a different group/category.

Analogy

Imagine you want to compare the popularity of different sports among boys and girls in your school. A side-by-side bar graph would be like having two bar graphs side by side, one for boys and one for girls, showing the number of students interested in each sport.
