Reject the Null Hypothesis

Definition

When conducting a hypothesis test, rejecting the null hypothesis means that there is enough evidence to support the alternative hypothesis. In other words, it suggests that there is a significant difference or relationship between variables.

Analogy

Imagine you have a friend who claims they can predict the outcome of a coin flip with 100% accuracy. You decide to test their claim by flipping a coin 100 times and recording the results. If you get heads more often than expected by chance alone, you would reject your friend's claim and conclude that they cannot accurately predict coin flips.
