Mosaic plots

Definition

Mosaic plots are graphical displays used to visualize associations between two or more categorical variables in contingency tables.

Analogy

Imagine you have a puzzle with different colored pieces. To see if there's any relationship between color and shape, you arrange the pieces in rows and columns based on their colors and shapes. The resulting mosaic plot will show if there's any pattern or association between these two variables.
