Sucking is the reflex action of drawing in and extracting fluids or substances through the mouth. It is an instinctive response that allows infants to obtain nourishment from breastfeeding or bottle-feeding.
This reflex occurs when an infant turns their head towards something that touches their cheek, helping them find the source of food.
Swallowing is the process of moving food or liquid from the mouth down into the stomach through muscular contractions.
Breathing is the involuntary action of inhaling and exhaling air, necessary for survival.
