Definition

These are physical or mental health conditions caused by chronic stress such as heart disease, depression, anxiety disorders etc.

Analogy

Consider stress as water filling up your bathtub. If you don't drain it (manage stress), eventually it will overflow, causing damage to your bathroom (your health). Stress related illnesses are like the water damage caused by an overflowing bathtub.
