Definition

Stimulant medications are a type of medication commonly prescribed to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). They work by increasing the levels of certain chemicals in the brain, such as dopamine and norepinephrine, which help improve focus, attention, and impulse control.
