Behavior Modification Therapy is a type of psychotherapy that aims to change undesirable behaviors through the use of various techniques, such as positive or negative reinforcement.
Operant Conditioning: A learning process where behavior is controlled by consequences. Positive reinforcements (rewards) and punishments are used to influence behavior.
Classical Conditioning: A learning process that occurs when two stimuli are repeatedly paired; a response that was initially elicited by the second stimulus is eventually elicited by the first stimulus alone.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): A form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders and severe mental illness.
