Kinetic energy refers to the energy possessed by an object due to its motion.
Think of kinetic energy as a moving car. Just like how a car gains speed and momentum as it moves, objects gain kinetic energy as they move faster or have more mass.
Potential Energy: Energy stored within an object based on its position or condition.
Conservation of Energy: The principle stating that total energy remains constant in an isolated system, meaning potential and kinetic energies can be converted back and forth but cannot be created or destroyed.
Joule (J): The unit used for measuring both kinetic and potential energies.
