Charge refers to the fundamental property of matter that determines how it interacts with electric and magnetic fields. It can be positive or negative, and like charges repel each other while opposite charges attract.
Think of charge as the "magnetic personality" of an object. Just like how people with similar personalities tend to repel each other, objects with the same charge repel each other. On the other hand, just like how opposites attract in relationships, objects with opposite charges are attracted to each other.
Electric Field: The region around a charged object where its influence can be felt by another charged object.
Coulomb's Law: A mathematical equation that describes the force between two charged objects based on their charges and distance.
Conservation of Charge: The principle that states that charge cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred from one object to another.
