Batteries

Definition

Batteries are portable devices that store chemical potential energy and convert it into electrical energy when needed. They consist of one or more electrochemical cells connected together.

Analogy

Think of batteries as rechargeable power banks for your phone. Just like how you charge your power bank and then use it to charge your phone on the go, batteries store energy and release it when connected to a circuit.
