Juno, also known as Hera in Greek mythology, is a powerful goddess and queen of the gods. In Virgil's Aeneid, she becomes an antagonist who opposes Aeneas' mission and seeks to prevent the founding of Rome.
Imagine Juno as a strict teacher who constantly tries to sabotage a student's project because she doesn't want them to succeed. She throws obstacles in their path and uses her influence to hinder their progress.
Venus: The mother of Aeneas and goddess of love. She supports Aeneas' mission and often intervenes on his behalf against Juno.
Dido: The queen of Carthage who falls in love with Aeneas but is ultimately abandoned by him due to his destiny. Juno manipulates Dido's emotions to further her own agenda.
Turnus: The leader of the Rutulians and one of Aeneas' main adversaries. Juno supports Turnus in his fight against Aeneas, hoping he will prevent the founding of Rome.
