Definition

Claims are statements or assertions that express a position or viewpoint on a particular topic. They are the main arguments made in an essay or speech.

Analogy

Think of claims as the foundation of a building. Just like a strong foundation supports and holds up the entire structure, claims provide support and structure to your argument.
