Urbanized
Definition
Refers to the process by which towns and cities are formed and increase in size due to increasing population. It also refers to the proportion of total population living in urban areas.
Analogy
Imagine ants building their colony. They start small with just a few tunnels (rural area), but as more ants join they expand their network into larger chambers and multiple levels (urbanization).
