Step Migration

Definition

Step Migration is when an individual or group migrates through stages instead of going directly from start point to end point. They might stop at several places along the way before reaching their final destination.

Analogy

Imagine step migration like climbing up stairs. You don't jump straight from the bottom stair to the top; you climb each step one at a time until you reach your goal at the top.
