Social and cultural effects refer to how an event or action impacts societal norms, values, behaviors, relationships, and cultural practices within a community or society.
Imagine society as a dance floor at prom. If suddenly hip-hop music starts playing instead of slow ballads (the event), it will change how people are dancing - some might feel uncomfortable with this new style (cultural shift) while others may start enjoying themselves more than before (social effect).
Cultural Diffusion: The spread of cultural beliefs and social activities from one group to another.
Social Norms: Unwritten rules about how to behave; they provide us with an expected idea of how to behave in a particular social group or culture.
Cultural Practices: Shared perceptions and actions that evolve over time among members of a community through social interaction.
