Scales

Definition

Scales in geographical studies refer to the different levels of analysis used to study and understand phenomena. They range from local (small-scale) to global (large-scale) perspectives.

Analogy

Think of scales in geographical studies as different zoom levels on a map app. Just like how you can zoom in to see specific streets or zoom out to view an entire country, scales in geography allow us to focus on specific details or examine broader patterns.
