Regional integration is the process by which two or more nation-states agree to co-operate and work closely together to achieve peace, stability and wealth. This usually involves the combination of their economic, social, and political systems.
Think of regional integration like a group project in school. Each student (or country) has their own strengths and weaknesses but when they come together for a common goal, they can create something much better than they could individually.
