This is the second stage in Rostow's model of economic development, where a society begins to develop manufacturing capabilities and infrastructure necessary for significant economic growth.
Think of this as the warm-up before a big race. The runner (the economy) is stretching, preparing their body (infrastructure), and getting mentally ready (societal changes) for the main event.
Infrastructure: The basic physical and organizational structures needed for the operation of a society or enterprise.
Manufacturing: The production of merchandise for use or sale using labor and machines, tools, chemical or biological processing or formulation.
Economic Development: The process by which a nation improves the economic, political, and social well-being of its people.
