Population Density

Definition

Population density is the number of people living per unit of an area (e.g., per square mile); it's essentially how crowded an area is.

Analogy

Imagine going to a concert. If everyone is spread out evenly across the venue with plenty of space to dance around, that's low population density. But if everyone is packed tightly together near the stage with barely any room to move, that's high population density.
