A metropolis is a large city or urban area which is a significant economic, political, and cultural center for a country or region, and an important hub for regional or international connections and communications.
Think of a metropolis as the heart in the body of a country. Just like how the heart pumps blood to all parts of the body, supplying necessary nutrients and oxygen, a metropolis pumps resources, information, culture, and people to other parts of its country or region.
Urbanization: The process by which towns and cities are formed and become larger as more people begin living and working in central areas.
Megacity: A very large city typically with a population of over 10 million people. It's like an even bigger version of a metropolis.
Central Business District (CBD): The commercial and business center of a city. In many cases it's the 'pulse' point from where most major businesses operate within the metropolis.
