Definition

Mechanization is the process of changing from working largely or exclusively by hand or with animals to doing work with machinery.

Analogy

Imagine if you had to write a 10-page essay using only a pencil. Now imagine you can use a computer instead - that's what mechanization does. It makes tasks quicker, easier, more efficient by using machines instead of manual labor.
