Large cities refer to urban areas with high population counts but not quite reaching mega-city status. These can range anywhere from hundreds of thousands to several million inhabitants.
Using our classroom analogy again, if mega-cities are university lecture halls, then large cities would be your typical high school classrooms - still bustling with activity but on a smaller scale compared to mega-cities!
Urban Area/Cityscape: An area characterized by higher population density and vast human features in comparison to areas surrounding it.
Suburb: A residential area or a mixed use area, either existing as part of a city or urban area or as a separate residential community within commuting distance of a city.
Population Growth: The increase in the number of individuals in a population.
