The Korean Peninsula is located in East Asia extending southwards from mainland Asia into Pacific Ocean. It includes North Korea (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea) and South Korea (Republic of Korea).

Imagine if your arm was covered with two different types of fabric - one half with silk (South Korea), symbolizing technological advancement & prosperity; other half with rough wool (North Korea), representing political isolation & militarization.
