Independence

Colonialism: The policy or practice of acquiring full or partial political control over another country by establishing settlements or exploiting its resources.

Decolonization: The process through which colonies gain independence from colonial powers.

Sovereignty: The supreme power or authority of a state to govern itself independently within its territorial boundaries without interference from external forces.
