Feed Grains

Definition

Feed grains are crops grown specifically to feed livestock rather than for human consumption.

Analogy

Imagine you're preparing dinner for your family but you also have pets. You wouldn't serve dog food at your family table; instead you'd prepare different meals suitable for each member. Similarly, farmers grow specific crops just for their 'animal family'.
