Think of environmental disasters like a sudden, uninvited guest at a party. They disrupt the normal flow of things, cause chaos, and leave behind a mess that needs cleaning up.
Natural Hazards: These are potential threats to humans and their welfare which could include phenomena such as earthquakes, floods, volcanic eruptions etc.
Anthropogenic Disasters: These are disasters resulting from human activity such as oil spills or nuclear accidents.
Disaster Management: This refers to the organization and management of resources for dealing with all aspects of emergencies, in particular preparedness, response and rehabilitation.
