Definition

Early maps are historical or ancient representations of the Earth's surface, often created by explorers or cartographers before the advent of modern technology. They were used for navigation and exploration purposes.

Analogy

Think of early maps as your grandparents' photo albums. Just like those old photos show how your family looked in the past, early maps give us a glimpse into how people perceived and understood their world in earlier times.
