Cultural convergence refers to the process by which different cultures become more similar as they interact and share ideas, values, and practices. This phenomenon occurs through various channels like globalization, technology, and migration, leading to a blending of cultural elements across societies.
Cultural convergence can homogenize urban landscapes with similar architecture, retail outlets, and public spaces. It affects migration by creating familiar environments for migrants but may also reduce the distinctiveness of local cultures. Economically, it can create new markets for goods but might undermine traditional industries.
