The Judiciary Branch is one part of the three branches in U.S. Government responsible for interpreting laws and administering justice according to those interpretations.
If our government were a football team, then think about Judiciary Branch as referee who interprets rules (laws) during gameplay and makes decisions based on those interpretations.
Supreme Court: The highest federal court in United States which has ultimate appellate jurisdiction over all federal courts and state court cases involving issues of federal law.
District Courts: These are general trial courts where cases start at federal level; they handle both civil and criminal cases.
Appellate Courts/Circuit Courts: These are intermediate-level courts that hear appeals from district courts.
