Japanese American Internment

Definition

This refers to the forced relocation and incarceration of about 120,000 Japanese Americans during World War II by the U.S. government following Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor.

Analogy

Imagine being sent to summer camp against your will just because your cousin who you barely know did something wrong. The internment was similar - innocent people were punished due to their ethnic association with a country at war with the US.
