Democrats

Definition

The Democratic Party is one of the two major political parties in the United States. It generally supports a platform of higher taxes for wealthier individuals, increased regulations on businesses to protect consumers and workers, stronger social safety nets like welfare programs and healthcare reform.

Analogy

Imagine Democrats as a nurturing parent who wants everyone in their family to be taken care of equally. They're willing to take more from those who have more (higher taxes for wealthy) so they can provide for those who have less (social safety nets).
