Child Labor Laws

Definition

Child labor laws are statutes placing restrictions on the employment of minors. These laws set minimum age requirements for work and regulate conditions under which youth may work.

Analogy

Imagine child labor laws as a protective parent who sets curfews. Just like parents don't allow their kids out late at night for safety reasons; these laws protect children from being exploited in workplaces.
