Consider this as an itemized grocery receipt. It lists out all items purchased (reactants and products), but also gives you the total cost (ΔH). This 'cost' can be positive if you owe money (endothermic) or negative if you get cash back (exothermic).
Stoichiometry: It refers to calculation involving quantities (in grams, moles, liters etc.) of reactants and products in a chemical reaction.
Hess's Law: States that the total enthalpy change for a reaction is the same whether it occurs in one step or several steps.
Calorimetry: The process of measuring heat based on observing temperature changes.
