Definition

Radiant energy is the energy of electromagnetic waves. It's a form of kinetic energy and can take the form of visible light, radio waves, ultraviolet radiation, infrared radiation, or X-rays.

Analogy

Think about how sunlight warms your skin on a sunny day. That warmth you feel is radiant energy being transferred from the sun to your skin.
