Acids

Definition

Acids are substances that donate hydrogen ions (H+) to solutions. They have a pH less than 7 and can react with bases to form salts and water.

Analogy

Imagine acids as generous friends who always give away their stuff - in this case, hydrogen ions. Just like how giving away too much can leave someone feeling sour, acids also taste sour!
