Definition

The range of a function is the set of all possible output values (y-values) that the function can produce.

Analogy

Imagine you have a vending machine that dispenses different types of snacks. The range would be like all the different snacks that could come out when you press different buttons on the machine.

Domain: The domain of a function is the set of all possible input values (x-values) for which the function is defined.

Function: A mathematical relationship between two sets, where each input value corresponds to exactly one output value.
