Definition

The domain of a function is the set of all possible input values (x-values) for which the function is defined.

Analogy

Think of the domain as a menu at a restaurant. The menu lists all the dishes you can order, just like the domain lists all the possible x-values you can input into a function.

Range: The range of a function is the set of all possible output values (y-values) that the function can produce.

Function: A mathematical relationship between two sets, where each input value corresponds to exactly one output value.
