Definition

Parameters are variables or constants that are used to define or describe mathematical objects or relationships. They allow us to customize or adjust certain aspects of these objects or relationships.

Independent Variable:

A variable that is manipulated or controlled by an experimenter in order to observe its effect on another variable. In our cookie analogy, this would be something like baking time.

Dependent Variable: A variable whose value depends on another variable(s). In our cookie analogy, this would be something like how tasty the cookies turn out.

Parameter Space: The set of all possible values that parameters can take within a given context.
