R-selected Strategy
Definition
R-selected strategy refers to species that produce many offspring but provide little parental care.
Analogy
Imagine r-selected species as popcorn makers at a movie theater; they produce lots and lots of popcorn (offspring), but once it’s made, they don’t do much else for it!
