This is the temperature at which any given biological system operates most efficiently for maximum productivity or speed.
Think of optimal temperature like the perfect weather for a beach day. Too cold, and you won't enjoy swimming. Too hot, and you might get sunburned. But when it's just right, you can swim, play volleyball, or just relax in the sand all day long!
Denaturation: The process where proteins lose their structure due to extreme conditions such as high temperature or pH changes.
Thermophile: An organism that thrives at relatively high temperatures.
Homeostasis: The ability of an organism or cell to maintain internal equilibrium by adjusting its physiological processes.
