Neutrons are subatomic particles found in the nucleus of an atom. They have no electric charge and a mass slightly larger than that of a proton.
Think of neutrons as the neutral friends in your group who don't take sides (no charge) but still contribute to the overall weight (mass) of your friendship circle (the atom).
Protons: Subatomic particles with a positive charge, also located in the nucleus of an atom.
Atomic Nucleus: The central part of an atom, composed mainly of protons and neutrons.
Isotopes: Variants of a particular chemical element which differ in neutron number.
