Enzyme Substrate Complex

Definition

An enzyme-substrate complex forms when an enzyme binds to its substrate. It's part of the process that leads to biochemical reactions in cells.

Analogy

Imagine enzymes are like puzzle pieces, and substrates are like puzzle slots. When they fit together perfectly (forming an enzyme-substrate complex), it triggers something new - just like completing part of your puzzle!
