Definition
The temporal lobe is one of the four major lobes of the cerebral cortex in the brain, primarily involved in processing auditory information and encoding memory. It is located beneath the lateral fissure on both cerebral hemispheres.
The outer layer of neural tissue of the cerebrum of the brain, playing a key role in memory, attention, perception, cognition, awareness, thought, language, and consciousness.
