Definition

The radial notch of the ulna is a small, shallow depression located on the lateral side of the coronoid process of the ulna, where it articulates with the head of the radius to form part of the proximal radioulnar joint. This structure allows for the pivoting motion necessary for pronation and supination of the forearm.
