Lateral tibiofemoral joint

Definition

The lateral tibiofemoral joint is one of the two compartments in the knee where the lateral condyle of the femur and the lateral condyle of the tibia meet, allowing for movement such as flexion and extension. It is a type of synovial joint that plays a crucial role in weight-bearing and locomotion.
