Definition

The ischiococcygeus muscle, part of the pelvic floor muscles, extends from the ischium's spine to the coccyx, aiding in supporting the pelvic organs. It acts alongside other pelvic muscles to maintain pelvic floor integrity and assist in minor movements of the coccyx.
