Hemopoiesis

Definition

Hemopoiesis is the process by which the formed elements of blood (such as red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets) are created in the bone marrow. It involves the differentiation of multipotent stem cells into specialized blood cells to maintain adequate levels and function within the body's circulatory system.
