A genotype is the set of genes in our DNA which is responsible for a particular trait. It represents an organism's full hereditary information, even if not all of it is expressed.
Phenotype: The physical expression, or characteristics, of that genetic information, such as hair color or height.
Allele: One of two or more versions of a gene that determine traits and can be inherited from parents.
Dominant Trait: A trait that will appear in the offspring if one of the parents contributes it
