Fourth ventricle

Definition

The fourth ventricle is a cavity within the brain that lies between the brainstem and the cerebellum, and it is part of the ventricular system responsible for circulating cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) throughout the brain. This chamber acts as a conduit for CSF to flow from the brain's interior regions towards its outer surface and spinal cord.
